Well, it is our last newsletter for the year, and as I sit here, I am basking in Snowflake City. Thank you to all the children and parents who have made it a white Christmas in the primary administration – it is such a lot of fun.
I am also hoping you might have noticed the advent calendar we have for the children. There are two sets one in K-2 and one in 3-6. Every day we have taken off the front cover from one panel to reveal another part of the Christmas story.
The story moves from God’s Amazing Promise to send His only son, to the story of Mary being chosen to bear Jesus. As Mary and Joesph journey to Bethlehem, they stay at an inn where Jesus is born wrapped in swaddling clothes and placed in a manger. The good news spreads to the shepherds and the wise men who followed the star to worship our King.
Each day, the children will have been experiencing Advent devotionals in their classrooms and have been learning how to answer questions such as “Why do you think God chose shepherds to hear the good news first?” and “Why do you think Jesus, a King, was born in such a humble place?”. Please ask your children what they have learnt so they can share the good news of Jesus' birth.
As we close out, if I didn’t get to see you to personally say Merry Christmas at the wonderful learning expo, or if you have brought food in for our Salvation Army food drive or the final assemblies, thank you! I pray you have a wonderful break and are refreshed for the 2025.
Thank you for your support and thank you for allowing us the privilege of teaching your children and partnering with you.
