Four very talented students represented us at the regional Wynspeak public speaking competition on Tuesday night. Heathdale’s team swept three out of the four prizes on the night, in a field of 19 students from schools in the Wyndham area.
Hasti M (Year 7): Winner of the Junior Short Notice Section
Chloe K (Year 11): Winner of the Senior Short Notice Section
Vanessa W (Year 11): Winner of the Senior Section. Vanessa now advances to the regional finals later in the year.
Simone S (Year 7) was also commended for her fabulous performance.
Congratulations to our students for their wonderful performances on the night and for their efforts in preparation and rehearsal prior to the event. Thanks also goes to Mr Broadstock for his role in encouraging and developing our students’ talents.
More opportunities are coming up soon for our students are coming up with our House Public Speaking and House Debating Competitions occurring later in the year. The Years 10-12 House Public Speaking competition is on the 5th of May and the Years 7-9 House Public Speaking will be later in the Year on the 8th of September.
