On Thursday 24 October, selected Year 6 students from the Melton Campus travelled to Dandenong to compete in the CSEN (Christian Schools Events Network) Debating Championships. Three teams represented our school in the Primary competition, arguing both the affirmative and negative for topics such as “Homework should be banned” and “Junk food is dangerous.”

Hanna V, Daniella G, and Reuben W were awarded best debaters during one of their respective debates, with Reuben W acknowledged as the overall best debater in the primary division for the day’s competition.

Overall, Waverley Christian College (Narre Warren South) won the Primary competition, but one of our Heathdale teams secured the second-place spot. Congratulations to all the debaters for their effort and exemplary conduct on the day!
