On the 15th of March, the swimming skills of 39 secondary students from the Werribee campus were put to the test as they dove headfirst into the CSEN Swimming Championships. With determination in their hearts and the hope of defending their title, these students represented our school with pride at the MSAC Aquatic Arena, alongside 18 other Christian schools from across Victoria.

Despite the stiff competition, our athletes rose to the occasion, pushing themselves to the limit and delivering outstanding results. In a display of sheer excellence, our team broke records in three events. The U13/14 medley relay team, comprised of Gavin Danny, Adam Yap, Gabriel Wong, and Ralph Agborchi, improved on the previous record with 4 seconds with their lightning-fast strokes. Likewise, the U14 Freestyle relay team, featuring Gavin Danny, Noah Redmond, Gabriel Wong, and Ralph Agborchi, surged ahead to clinch victory with their impeccable teamwork. Not to be outdone, the U16 girls Freestyle relay team, composed of Norah Cheung, Andjela Maric, Elena Grixti, and Natalie Chung, left a trail of splashes as they soared to victory.

Moreover, Heathdale demonstrated its dominance by clinching the age champions title in the Under 14 boys and Under 16 boys categories, further solidifying our school's reputation as a powerhouse in the pool.

While we may have narrowly missed out on securing the top spot, our second-place finish is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our students. As the Sports Coordinator, I couldn't be prouder of this remarkable group of individuals who poured their hearts into every stroke, embodying the spirit of Heathdale.

Congratulations to all our swimmers for their outstanding achievements at the CSEN Swimming Carnival. Your hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship have truly made us proud.
