At times, I am amazed at the opportunities afforded to our students as part of their learning.
Over the opening weeks of Term 4, the students on the Melton campus have been able to enjoy a number of wonderful activities in amongst their precious classroom learning. Those moments have included interschool debating, basketball, and volleyball. Onsite, Mr Williams creatively worked around the wet weather to hold our annual Cross Country competition. Students in Years 5 and 6 had a four-day camp at Mill Valley Ranch last week and yesterday participated in a Robotics incursion in our Auditorium with students from the Werribee campus. Last night, our Melton instrumental students have an opportunity to perform before their peers and parents. Then, today we had our French Day with a range of activities, and crepes!
This week, Heathdale Christian College Melton parents and guardians should have received communication about a number of end of year events, including the 40th Anniversary Spring Fair on Saturday 26th November at the Werribee campus.
Please also look out for information in the coming weeks around our end of year celebration events:
- Years 5 to 9 End of Year Celebration Night (Monday 28th November)
- Prep to Year 4 End of Year Celebration Night (Tuesday 29th November)
Thank you to all who have reached out after our Year 1 Classrooms were flooded on Tuesday. We had quite a downpour as the school day came to an end. Thankfully, with the wonderful facilities here at the College, our Year 1 classes have been able to continue using different learning spaces. The good news is that the clean-up is going really well, and we will definitely be back in our normal classrooms after the long weekend!
Please remember that the College is closed on Monday and Tuesday is a public holiday. Enjoy the break!
