“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
“Jesus said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3)
Heavenly Father, we thank you for our ELC and lower Primary students and that the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them. We thank you for their creativity, honesty, playfulness and happy hearts. We thank you for their desire to learn, grow, explore and understand the awesome earth you have created. Father, we acknowledge that the last two years of their learning has been difficult, and we pray that your constant love and grace sustains their precious hearts and minds during this difficult season of life. Lord we pray for their friendships, their relationships with their teachers and their physical and emotional health.
Father, we also uplift the families of our young ones to you. We pray you would strengthen the parents who are weary, frustrated, feeling inadequate or isolated. We thank you for these parents and their willingness to partner with teachers, as they sit alongside their young ones to assist them in their learning.
Father may you bless and keep all our students, may your face shine upon them and be gracious to them. May they know your never-ending peace.
